05/03/2003 Archived Entry: "Casey Fossum Quote"

I know I dropped the ball on posting this earlier. But I loved this quote from Fossum about the pitch that got him ejected from Thursday's game:
''I got a couple of yellow cards in soccer when I was 11, but that's about it,'' said Fossum, who asserted that his errant pitch had no premeditation to it.

It turned out to be a great game. Todd Walker's two-out double in the eighth gave the Sox a 6-5 lead and the bullpen held up the game. That hasn't been the case all too often this season.

Also, on the same night the Celts whomped the Pacers 110-90 to win the series. Now we get another sure to be interesting series against the Nets!

you know, motorcycle racing is a sport!! It probably has more fans world-wide than baseball... millions of $ for Pedro, and he can't even finish a game... the only way a racer doesn't finish is if he crashes out trying to win... my mom can throw a ball... but she can't ride a bike!!! - guess who?
