I have to say I was somewhat surprised the Shea for Kim trade happened. It seemed inevitable though once Gammons reported the possibility on ESPN's Baseball Tonight. The rumor has been around for a while. Shea has been hitting well. And Boston definitely needs help in the bullpen. The timing makes me wonder just how injured Pedro really is though. It seems the trade could work well for both teams. And while I don't feel as strongly about it as Johnny Pesky, it is sad to see Shea, one of the few players from the Red Sox farm system, leave.

I am moving to Arizona! Seriously though, this is Shea Hillenbrand. It is like quitting because the Yankees released Nick Johnson. I understand he was close to him, so I get why he sadi it, I am just happy he did not follow thru. He has more future Sox to help!
