Baseball season is finally here. And I share with you Ken Rosenthal's, of Sporting News, words of wisdom: Evaluating the spring performance of vetran players is notoriously tricky, and the only way to determine the significance of Pedro Martinez's diminished velocity is to see how he performs opening day and beyond. If it turns out Martinez merely was preserving himself, the concern over his Grapefruit League struggles will be remembered as a much ado about nothing.
