While the Patriots were busy having an incredible 2003 season, the Red Sox were the team busy making hot stove news. Now that the Red Sox are back in season, it's the Patriots turn to make the headline news. As it looks like the Pats will acquire RB Corey Dillon from the Cincinnati Bengals for a second-round draft pick! Check out ESPN's story for more details.

in this opening series with Baltimore. Derek Lowe and Miguel Tejada will meet on the diamond for the first time since the ALDS when a crazed Tejada vowed revenge for the supposed obscene gesture made my Lowe after Game 5.

Baseball season is finally here. And I share with you Ken Rosenthal's, of Sporting News, words of wisdom: Evaluating the spring performance of vetran players is notoriously tricky, and the only way to determine the significance of Pedro Martinez's diminished velocity is to see how he performs opening day and beyond. If it turns out Martinez merely was preserving himself, the concern over his Grapefruit League struggles will be remembered as a much ado about nothing.
