I am glad the Red Sox didn't let the Rocket get his 300th win against them. Although, I don't feel as strongly about it as ESPN Page 2's Bill Simmons.
As for Clemens' glove with the 300th patch on it. I agree with Pedro: "That may have jinxed him.''

Nine U.S. senators make an effort to try and save the Big East.
The word is that Boston College, Syracuse and Miami want to jump to the ACC. The Big East may not be doing as well as it used to. So try and improve it. Don't just jump ship. Sadly, it shows that college sports have become too much about money.

Ted Williams promo night for Arizona-Mexico League's Bisbee-Douglas Copper Kings.
Very small time but disrespectful none the less.

Where will Clemens attempt to get this 300th career win?
Is there any chance Steinbrenner would let the attempt happen in Boston?

I know I dropped the ball on posting this earlier. But I loved this quote from Fossum about the pitch that got him ejected from Thursday's game:
''I got a couple of yellow cards in soccer when I was 11, but that's about it,'' said Fossum, who asserted that his errant pitch had no premeditation to it.
It turned out to be a great game. Todd Walker's two-out double in the eighth gave the Sox a 6-5 lead and the bullpen held up the game. That hasn't been the case all too often this season.
Also, on the same night the Celts whomped the Pacers 110-90 to win the series. Now we get another sure to be interesting series against the Nets!
